Eat The Street: Pig Out! Preview

Eat The Street has been going on since April of this year but I haven't had a chance to go because I usually work on Saturday mornings.  Eat The Street is a chance for the local food trucks to showcase their food for those who don't get to them during the week because of location and time constraints.

Thankfully, I have a chance to go today!

The theme today is "Pig Out!" and that mean PORK.  The full menu can be found here.

Here's a list of the food I'm looking forward to:

I promised @_inspiredesire that I would get an adobo dish, so I'll check out the Elena's food truck where they will be serving a Pork Adobo Fried Rice Omelet.  I also really want to get the Shanghai Pork Lumpia.

I LOVE pizza so I really want to try Inferno's Wood Fire Pizza.  The Pork Sausage Pizza by the slice sounds good.

I hope I'm not full by the time I eat all of that.

I try to support my buddy who runs Shogunai Tacos so I plan to get the Triple Crown of Pork Tacos (ham, spicy bacon and Osaka Joe pork tacos) with special sauces.


So what's for dessert?  A lot!

• Aloha Ice Cream Tricycle will have giant Ju-Mui Hawaiian Ice Pops (think, Li Hing Mui) as well as the Ju-Mui sundae.
• Bobalicious Boba Drinks will have bubble drinks and a Portuguese Sausage Waffle Dog!  Gotta try that!
• Fairy Cakes Hawaii is featuring a Pineapple, ham and cheese whoopie pie.
• Lickety Split will have a bacon sundae.
• Onopops is featuring candied local bacon ice cream and peanut butter bacon ice cream.
• Zsoli's Chimney Cake Hawaii has... well.... chimney cakes.

I hope you're hungry now!  The food and trucks that I mentioned are only the tip of the iceberg.  There will be  a lot more trucks and food at Eat The Street that I haven't mentioned here.
